Born and bred in Penang, Jason graduated from the Taipei National University of Arts, majoring in Directing. During his formative years in Taiwan, he was actively involved in performances as a director, playwright, stage manager, and actor. He also served as part of a specialised team teaching drama to disadvantaged, aboriginal, and autistic children.

Upon his return to Penang in 2013, Jason became a full-time theatre practitioner, expanding his career in ‘Drama-in-Education.’ He has been teaching drama within the Waldorf education system for over 10 years and continues to conduct classes there today. Jason remains a dedicated educator for young children in the Northern Malaysia region.

In 2017, Jason joined the Plasticity Theatre Troupe, where he continues to explore creativity and environmental consciousness by utilising reused and home-based materials in his work.
