Level 5 continues to build on the foundational skills of previous Kindermusik levels, offering small-group lessons that may include instruments like the piano, guitar, or ukulele.

Students learn to play an instrument in a collaborative and fun group setting, which keeps them motivated and engaged. They will learn to read music, understand music theory, and compose their own simple pieces, all while building teamwork and performance confidence.

What you will experience in class

Singing and vocal development
It may sound like a foreign language when your child sings “ta” and “ti-ti,” but he’s using the language of professional musicians and composers and getting ready to read and write simple rhythm patterns
Movement
You’ll see your child dance expressively to music, giving him the practice he needs to coordinate his body movements to the sound of music. This kind of musical play not only improves musicianship, but his physical coordination as well. Reading and writing. What exactly is Kindermusik? How is it different from a regular playgroup?

Kindermusik is the world’s leading provider of music-based education for children from birth to age seven. Unlike a typical playgroup, every activity in a Kindermusik class is research-based and designed by experts to support your child’s specific developmental stage—from cognitive and language skills to social-emotional and physical growth.

Where are your Kindermusik classes held?

Our classes are held at our comfortable and child-friendly music centre, conveniently located in Bayan Lepas, Penang. We are easily accessible for families living in the surrounding areas, including Sungai Ara, Relau, and Batu Maung.

My child has no musical experience. Is that okay?

Absolutely! No prior musical experience is needed. Kindermusik is designed for all children, regardless of their background. Our main goal is to foster a love of music and learning in a fun, non-pressured, and supportive environment.

How do I know which Kindermusik level is right for my child?

We place children into levels based on their age to ensure the activities are perfectly suited to their developmental stage. Our age guides are: Foundations (0-1), Level 2 (1-3), Level 3 (3-4), Level 4 (4-5), and Level 5 (5-7). If you’re unsure, just give us a call, and we’ll be happy to help you find the perfect fit!

Can I try a class before I commit to a full term?

My child’s kindergarten in Penang already offers a Kindermusik program. What makes attending a class at your centre different?
