Graduate from the University of Science Malaysia in Music Pedagogy, and piano major under the tutelage of Dr Jason Tye. He believes in the role of music education in developing a person. His thesis on a learner-based approach encourages cultivation of a student’s inner ability to learn better, by first understanding themselves and their relationship with the environment.
He is deeply inspired by the famed 20th century Japanese music educator and philosopher, Shinichi Suzuki, who quotes
“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”
