Graduate from the University of Science Malaysia in Music Pedagogy, and piano major under the tutelage of Dr Jason Tye. He believes in the role of music education in developing a person. His thesis on a learner-based approach encourages the cultivation of a student’s inner ability to learn better, by first understanding themselves and their relationship with the environment.

He is deeply inspired by the famed 20th-century Japanese music educator and philosopher, Shinichi Suzuki, who quotes

“Teaching music is not my main purpose. I want to make good citizens. If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. They get a beautiful heart.”
